Yesterday along Mile 22 of the towpath, which includes the section from
Violette's Lock to Riley's Lock (Seneca), the highlight was a low flyover by
an immature Bald Eagle around midday. Other birds seen in that segment
included a Red-breasted Nuthatch, both types of kinglets, 40 scaup on the
river, and assorted quiet and well-behaved (ahem) vultures.
