Hello All,
First, the negative bird news. The Baltimore Oriole that was visiting our feeder was last seen on 1/12.

Now for the new birds. A Fox Sparrow was present at the feeder 1/11 - 1/15. I did a dusk watch between 5:30 and 6:00 PM on 1/19. I had a flyby GB Heron and Bald Eagle (both FOY), but very little in the way of geese or ducks.

Yesterday (1/22), I walked around the farm. In the hedgerow along the RR, I found a Brown Thrasher (DE, 4th Jan. record here). At the back of the farm, there was a single Black Vulture overhead (MD, 2nd Jan. record) and a flock of 40-50 American Pipits (MD). There were numerous gulls on Oak Grove Rd on both sides of the state line. The flock consisted of 350 Ringers and 1 immature Herring. 36 species for the day and 51 so far for the year, which is a very respectable January total.

Good Birding,
Glen Lovelace III
