This morning while driving over the Solomons bridge, I saw an Osprey
flying into the wind on the St. Mary's county side of the river. Someone
had reported a pair that is overwintering in Lewis Creek but this is the
first personal evidence I've had of them. I also saw a pair of Bald
Eagles shortly before seeing the Osprey. They probably kept the Osprey
around so that they would have someone to steal fish from during the
winter ;)
