I found the Glaucous Gull near a construction site by Chester Cove Marina
yesterday at 12:15 p.m. It was standing on the wreckage of an old pier
sleeping with itıs chin on itıs back. I tried to get closer; but my attempt
to gain access to the construction site was denied. Returning to the pier, I
found that the battery in my camera was petty much dead. The Gull was now
awake and walking around on the trashy raft only 275 feet away.

Jim described the gull during his voice message on Thursday afternoon and
later that evening. I noted these characters on Friday: the Gull was nearly
all white with a fleshy colored bill with a broad black band on the end that
left the tip flesh colored. The legs appeared to be the same color as the
the beak but the lighting made it difficult to be sure. Last night I check
my field guides while talking to Jim on the phone.

This marina sits at the East end Thames Street in Fells Point. If you
continue East onto the pier; the gull was South just across the water near
the construction trailers. If the Gull is not at the fort and you decided to
visit this marina park on Thames Street and not in the lot at the marina.
