Didn't expect to see much today, but the fog cleared as I
got to the spot on the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park path
(College Park, PG County) about where I saw the
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker several times a couple weeks ago
(just north of Metzerott Rd, in the small stand of woods).
And there I saw my first RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH for the path,
hanging out with YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS, CAROLINA
CHICKADEES, and a DOWNY WOODPECKER (with a RED-SHOULDERED
HAWK nearby). Full report:
