I saw a bat flying about Saturday evening (Jan. 28) in Greenbelt. Is this a record or do bats periodically come out when it warms like this?

I stopped for gas and a car wash this morning, and a song sparrow was lustfully singing his heart out at the Linwood Exxon in Elkridge/Ellicott City. Summer is here!!

While working on misc. chores in the yard, I spotted a mourning cloak
butterfly flitting about. Can spring be far away ????
Yes it can! ;-)
