Mikey Lutmerding and I again hit OC inlet this morning (1/29/09) and were happy to have a razorbill fly in. It was seen from 8:10-9:00 am out by the green channel marker then it came into the inlet where it would surface for very brief view and dive again then it surface at the end of the south jetty where it was happy to float in the water and allow good views in the scope. There were four of us that had great views of this bird for a long while. Other bird seen there: Common loon, red-throated loon, double-crested and great cormorant, black and surf scoter, brant, long-tailed duck, common goldeneye, red-breasted merganser, peregrine falcon (water tower), ruddy turnstone, purple sandpiper, sanderling, northern gannet (lots coming in very close), ring-billed, bonapartes, herring, great black-backed gulls and boat-tailed grackles.
