After school on Friday, I went over to Kent County to look for geese and head down to Eastern Neck NWR.

John Hanson Rd Sewage Ponds - very few geese

Great Oak Pond - about 2000 Snow Geese and 1000 Canada Geese scattered on the pond and adjacent fields, also 10 Canvasback, 6 Lesser Scaup

Eastern Neck NWR
Long-tailed Duck - 15
Surf Scoter - 2 Bayview
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1
Winter Wren - 4
Brown Creeper - 2
Common Yellowthroat - 1 end of Duck Inn trail

Tolchester Beach Rd
Barred Owl - 1
Pileated Woodpecker - 1
White-breasted Nuthatch - 2
BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE - 2 (at the pines near the east end of the road)
Chickadee sp. - 1
Carolina Chickadee - 1

I stopped by Great Oak Pond and John Hanson Rd again at dusk, but the numbers had diminished.
