On a quick ride home this evening in fading light I heard a
BARRED OWL calling along the Paint Branch Stream Valley Park
trail in College Park. The call was coming from the far
side of the golf course (in the woods) from the swamp.
Birds of note this morning included a pair of RED-SHOULDERED
HAWKS mating (or at least going through the motions!). Also
GREAT BLUE HERON, KILLDEER, PILEATED WOODPECKER, EASTERN
BLUEBIRD, and SWAMP SPARROW, among the usual suspects.
