Folks

Today I photographed a first year, male Baltimore Oriole in La Plata, MD. There was also a Fox Sparrow and Red-breasted Nuthatch in the yard with the oriole.

Yesterday I went to Cobb Island and found a mix of ducks at the mouth of the Wicomico River. Highlights was a single male Black Scoter. As well was about, 75 Bufflehead, 55 Surf Scoters, a handful of Common Goldeneye, and a few Long-tail Ducks. This was my first of many trips to Cobb Island. It won't be long before the Gannets will be in.

Our female Yellow Bellied Sapsucker is still present. The other regular Maryland woodpeckers, except Red-headed are also regular visitors.

What will the snow bring. Feed your snow birds, please.

George

P.S. Tyler - my cat eat my address book, so please forward to the SMAS listserve.
