	All: Sorry for the late post.. Lisa and I had a lovely day
birding the Eastern Shore on 2/14, helped by the nice clear weather and
low winds.
	We missed the Evening Grosbeak at CBEC and the Ruff in
Dorchester, but scored with 3 WHITE PELICANS at Blackwater NWR, a new
Maryland bird... Not to mention a profusion of Bald Eagles, both adult
and immature.

	Highlights follow:

	Home (Cape St. Claire, AA County):
	* Dark-Eyed Juncos
	* American Goldfinch
	* Common Grackle (2, they've recently reappeared)
	* White-Throated Sparrow
	* European Starling
	* Northern Cardinal
	* American Robin
	* Black Vulture (2)

	Queen Anne's County, en route Chesapeake Bay Environmental
Center/aka Horshead:
	* Bufflehead
	* Greater Black-Backed Gull
	* Northern Mockingbird
	* Rock Pigeon
	* Turkey Vulture
	* Canada Goose

	Quick pass at Chespeake Bay Environmental Center, Q.A. County:
	* Tundra Swan (2)
	* Blue Jay
	* Mallard
	* Yellow-Rumped Warbler
	* Red-Bellied Woodpecker
	* White-Throated Sparrow
	* European Starling

	Talbot County:
	* Snow Geese (15, fly-over)
	* American Kestrel
	* Eastern Bluebird (2)

	Dorchester County, mostly along Bucktown and Griffith Neck
Roads:
	* Surf Scoter (20-30, in the Choptank River)
	* Red-Tailed Hawk
	* HORNED LARK (along Bucktown Road)
	* Bald Eagle (one adult)
	* Brown Creeper
	* More Yellow-Rumped Warblers
	* BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH
	* Marsh Hawk
	* Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker
	* WILD TURKEY (1)
	* Killdeer (6, at the site where Ruff has been reported. No
Ruff).

	In and around Blackwater NWR, Dorchester Cty:
	* Bald Eagle (Near entrance to Wildlife Loop. 2 adults, 3
immatures, swarming around some sort of carrion, along with several
hungry TVs and Fish Crows)
	* Red-Winged Blackbird (massive feeding flock of 1000s, with a
few Cowbirds mixed in)
	* Northern Pintail (prevalent along Wildlife Loop)
	* AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS (3 in the Blackwater River, opposite
Pool 3)

	And back in AA County:
	* Red-Shouldered Hawk.

	Good Birding!
