Queen Annes County birds for Sat feb 18 , 06 white fronted , Cackling Geese

Hi all I was out in Queen Annes County  birding for the Backyard bird count  
  Cornell Lab of Ornithology compiles Hope all of you are submitting your 
weekend lists to them .   I went to  the Boat landing in Queenstown on 
little Queenstown  creek  birds here

Hooded Merganser  2
Great Blue  Heron    3
Lesser Scaup     6
House Finch 4 at  a feeder nearby
Red tailed  Hawk    1  at the Rt 50 Rt 301 spilt


Cheasapeake Bay Environmental Center    [  Horsehead wetland center ]


Small Landbirds were hard to come by . Some Snow flurries  and cold  there . 
The lady at the Vistor Center mentioned to  me when  asked  why no feed  in 
the feeders   SQUIRRELS  eating everything  so they are not filling them now

the 309 pond

Snow     Geese       1,000         not close to the road though
GREATER WHITE  FRONTED   GOOSE     2        fairly close to the road in a 
flock of  Canadas
              I  have  a couple of fair  digital shots if anyone cares to 
see
