Ed,

I just came back from Sanibel island in Fl and from a visit to Ding Darling drive where I saw a reddish heron from about 100 feet away as well as tricolored herons. So I can say from experience that it looks like a reddish heron and not a tricolor. The immature catbird made me think about it for a few seconds.

I also drive thru the Merritt Island preserve near Cape Canaveral and saw some spoonbills closeup. Surprising that you can see wood storks and ibis on the city streets near the Everglades.

Thanks for the easy fun.

Harry
