Though cold and windy this morning, several good birds were found during
a birdwalk with the new interns at Pickering Creek Audubon Center.
    Highlights:
Lots of Canada Geese, and a single Blue Phase Snow Goose mixed with
the flock
Bufflehead and Lesser Scaup in the small pond behind the barns
Eastern Phoebe along the Marsh Board Walk
Bald Eagle fly over - and staff reports that the eagle nest seems to
be in use
        Red-tailed Hawk
Swamp Sparrow - chilly but friendly along the loop trail around the
small pond
Song Sparrows and White-throats in good numbers
        Killdeer fly-over,
        and several Mockingbirds.
