I'm thinking about getting a new tripod for my scope and would appreciate any feedback from people (off the list please) who have bought one recently.
   
  Adding my 2c on the Purple Finches - they are regular in small groups at my feeder in November, especially the first 2 weeks, but never show up here from December onwards and only very rarely in early spring (late March/early April).
