Birders
 
At 7:30 this evening, I was taking the trash out at our home in the  Highland 
View area of Silver Spring when, over the rumble of the nearby  Beltway, I 
heard the gentle honking of Tundra Swans overhead. I looked up  to see a 'V" of 
some 40 swans low overhead, dimly lit from below by the  street lighting and 
heading in a westerly direction.
 
Sometimes it pays to volunteer to take the trash out :)
