Great Horned Owl in College Park

Hello all,

Took a late day stroll along the infamous Paint Branch Trail in College
Park, MD, and spotted the silhouette of a Great Horned Owl.  It called
several times as well.  I was able to see it in several locations before it
flew out of view.  It was in the section of the trail along the golf course
that is open and swamp like.  
Other than the owl, nothing unusual.  I might have seen a Sapsucker among
the Downy Woodpeckers, but not certain.  Full report below:
