Hello all-
I'll be birding the coastal eastern shore this week and one of my
target birds is Eared Grebe. if anyone has seemed either eared or
horned within the last several days please let me know the stage of
molt. Be as specific as possible. Also any advice differentiating
between molting horned and eared would be appreciated.

I posted before but here is my itinerary for this week if any eastern
shore birders would care to join me.
Fri 17
Poplar Island
assorted ponds along 404 (looking for tundra swans and any other
large flocks)
Sat 18
Morning: Cape Henlopen
Afternoon: Prime Hook, including Broadkill Beach, Fowler Rd and
surrounding trails
Sun 19
Morning: Rehobeth Area: Silver Lake, Boardwalk, Gordon Pond
Afternoon: Indian River Inlet and surrounding area
Mon 20
Little Creek Wildlife Area including Port Mahon
continuing on to Bombay Hook
Tues 21
Horsehead

Any specific advice on these places?

Side Note: A pair of sharpies and red-shoulders are fighting over my
backyard as territory. I don't know who heads my atlas block in 21136
Reisterstown, but he/she should be advised that i have a confirmed
sharp shin hawk nest and one possibly abandoned ( i think the
sharpies won) red shoulder nest.

-Thanks
