Marylanders,

I walked out on the bridge to Roosevelt Island from the George 
Washington Memorial Parkway to get a look at the Virginia shoreline and 
noted two male Red-breasted Mergansers swimming in the channel there.  
Thought maybe someone would be interested in seeing them.
