I am 90% sure I saw a Peregrine Falcon in Wheaton yesterday evening
(3/19) around 5PM.

It flew from the south along Georgia Ave and landed in the top of a tree at
Georgia and Dennis Ave. I was stuck at the light there - I have never been
so glad it was a long one - and I had my binoculars with me (I've made it a
rule that I can't go anywhere without them, good thing I followed it this
time.) At first I was thinking Cooper's or similar but when I got the
binoculars on it I could see that the streaking didn't go all the way up to
the throat/face, and that there was definitely a moustache. When the light
turned green I went through the intersection and pulled over, so I got to
watch it until it took off and flew west.

The falcons reported in Rockville wouldn't be too far away from this one.
The only reason I say I'm 90% sure instead of 100% is because this would be
the first time I had seen one, so I'm not very familiar with them at all. I
just thought I'd post and see if anyone else noticed one in that area around
that time. I'd love to be 100% sure, it's pretty exciting!
