MD Osprey:
In a related event, due to the expanded reports of this species over the
previous years, at its recent Annual Meeting, the MD/DC Records Committee
(MD/DCRC) voted to change the "reviewable" range of Common Raven to east of
the Piedmont, that is, the species is reviewable only if seen on the
Coastal Plain. This and other minor review list changes will be published
in the near future, along with the minutes of the MD/DCRC Annual Meeting.
For those not familiar with the Piedmont - Coast Plain boundary, the
dividing line (called the "fall line") basically runs northeast-southwest
along US Route 1. A map that shows the fall line can be seen on the
previous MD Review List at the MD/DCRC web pages, here ...
