Our new addition appears to be under inspection for another addition.  A 
pair of House Finches were checking out the area on top of one of the 
supporting posts of our portico.  I don't know if we passed inspection 
since no nest material has yet appeared.  They also perched on the back 
door and on the window screen, looking in our windows.  However, they 
will not be allowed in.
