Had a very nice walk along the C&O Canal Saturday morning 10:30-12:30 with virtually no one else there. Very unusual for that stretch! Sunny, breezy, and cool.

We headed west from the Great Falls Tavern, took the foot path along the River and then returned on the tow path.

Had nice views of one of the bald eagles sitting on the nest on Conn Island and at least 30 Great Blue Herons sitting on, collecting materials for, and building nests on the Island.
