It could have been a European Starling. This past week, I've
watched/listened to starlings in my yard imitating Eastern Meadowlarks
and Eastern Wood-pewees. :)

Subject: [MDOSPREY] Chuck Will's Widow?
Hi all,
Jill and I birded at the Loch Raven Fishing Center yesterday and while
she was
on the phone with her eldest daughter, I heard a bird that was doing an
"impression" of a Chuck Will's Widow in a tree over the "boathouse". I
have no
idea what it could have been, but I know it wasn't a CWW. We didn't
see it, but
we did see something fly off over the water from the same tree over the
building
and the "chuck will's widow" call stopped.
Anybody have any thoughts as to what it may have been?
Good birding,
Richard
