At Hughes Hollow mostly same as reported by others over past week.
There seemed to be an unusally high number of GB Herons (12+, 5 or 6
sitting in same tree). Good looks at Blue-winged Teal, Gadwalls, and
Wood Ducks in flight and a great look at a Rusty Blackbird from about 5
feet feeding along the dike edge. Also 5/6 snipe. No sign of the 3 male
Shovelers this morning. It was good to run into Paul Woodward, who was
arriving just as we were leaving. Maybe he will post more details later
today.

Potomac R. at Sycamore Landing
GBB Gulls 4
Red-breasted Mergansers

Good birding,
