Weather:
56-68 degrees; mostly sunny; good to excellent visibility; winds started
from the NW at 12 mph, then diminished in speed and became light and
variable.
Raptor Observations:
A Sharp-shinned Hawk with white patches on the upper wing coverts; A
gorgeous sub-adult II Bald Eagle, with lots of white underneath (see
Liguori, p.115, lower left), that soared overhead for several minutes.
The strong sunlight from above lit the eagle up brilliantly.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest.
