Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in DC this morning had quite a few
swallows -- most were TREE, with 3-4 NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED. A bit
more surprising for this early date was a group of 10-12 BARN
SWALLOWS. They were staying low over the water, to keep out of the sharp wind.

The River Trail at KAG also afforded my first-of-the-year BLUE-GRAY
GNATCATCHERS and a very bright yellow PALM WARBLER, tail-wagging to
beat the band.

Good Birding.
