Hello all.
This afternoon, I birded Compass Pointe Golf Course (North Course) in
Pasadena. It's a good location, but one must be sure to notify the pro shop
before birding there.
As usual, there was a good variety of birds there, in fact, today was an
excellent outing! 37 total species including 6 sparrow species, 1 BG
Gnatcatcher, 1 Common Yellowthroat (a nice surprise) and 4 Yellow Palm
Warblers were highlights today, among others.

RT Hawk: 2 Locals, probably
C. Hawk: 2 Low in flight, 1 hour apart
Killdeer: 2 In the old dirt dump

Pileated Woodpecker: 1 Vocalizing
E. Phoebe: 2 In two different locations
Blue Jay: 7

BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER: 1 Low in a young pine tree...!

PALM WARBLER: 4 (all Yellow) Low among pines and brush
