Hi --

The passage of Bonaparte's Gulls through Back River, Balto. Co., MD is waning -- we checked again today and counted about 350 maximum from Diamond Pt, downstream, plus tribs. Many were going into summer plumage. Unfortunately, no Litte Gulls were found (yet again) -- a very poor year for this species, we had two on only one day and another observer had two the next day, perhaps the same individuals, and that has been it for us despite quite a few trips. We did have about 4 Caspian Terns. No Laughing Gulls (an odd miss).

Later in the day a walk in NW Branch Park, Mont. Co., yielded 2-3 Gnatcatchers, 5 Yellow Palm Warblers (two bathing in the stream), about a dozen Yellow-rumps and 3-4 Ruby-crowned Kinglets for a little afternoon action.
