Third day in a row of south winds was the charm. . . or maybe it's the oak flowers opening--in any case, this was the birdiest morning of the spring so far at Ft. Bayard.
A FIELD SPARROW was again present (probably the same bird as yesterday?), and Chipping Sparrow numbers were up to 5-6. Juncos and White-Throateds were also present.
Warblers made their first appearance in the park today, with 2 YELLOW-RUMPED and a fine-looking Yellow PALM WARBLER. Hope they keep on coming!
