My wife and I had a very nice surprise while getting ready for work this
morning in Adams Morgan.

Outside of our apartment window in a 10 ft stretch of ground between the
building and a children's park fence, we heard and watched an ovenbird for
a few minutes. We saw the orange on his head as he walked under the window.

Amazing that this guy was visiting our place which is not 20 feet from
Columbia road in the heart of Adams Morgan. Buses, cabs, people walking
dogs.

I hope to see a lot of migrants this Saturday while on my 30+ mile (8hr+)
training hike along the towpath. 2 weeks from Saturday is the 62 mile
fundraising hike from Gtown to Harpers Ferry.

Thanks to all of you who have already generously given your support and
encouragement!
