Hello, 

I've been spying on the two white-crowned heron nests on Sligo Creek, near the tennis courts, in the past week. Saw a pair mate last Thursday - not a pleasant sighting even if they participants have feathers...
Anyway, I found another nest on my way back from the tennis courts about 2 miles down the path toward New Hampshire Avenue. The nest is right over the road! Heron sitting low on eggs. The mate was on a branch in hanging over the creek. 

Usually, the creek on the other side of New Hampshire as well. Not so last year or this year....

Oh well.
