For the first time (in 20 years of monitoring) I finally had a Brown
Creeper in my suburban yard in Randallstown (west central Baltimore
County) today April 13. That goes along with many observations of them
in various places in the last few weeks. The Yellow Book indicates
they should be falling off considerably, but this year for me they
peaked in the last few weeks. I also saw my first of the season Brown
Thrasher in the yard today.
For the record keepers, I saw a western Palm Warbler, in very good
view, and singing, at Lake Roland (Baltimore Co) April 11. There have
been LOTS of yellow Palms, but this was my only western Palm so far
this spring.
