Today our occasional R-br Nuthatch made a late appearance, while
overhead the first (for us) Chimney Swifts - same date as last year.
Yesterday, a PGAS field trip was treated to 2 Am Bitterns flushed from a
river-side slough just outside the Gov Bridge Park. No other migrants
were seen. Ovenbirds and Parulas also made their first appearance there
this spring, while Black-and-whites and Prairies, also reported
elsewhere, were still absent.
