Fellow Ospreyers,
In my posts to MDOSPREY, I regularly include the key to the raptor abbreviations at the end of the report. I have been doing this for a couple of years in response to those who asked for a key. In fact, I submit my raptor data to a web site wherein I could automatically have the report sent to MDOSPREY, but that report comes without the abbreviation key. So, I copy, cut, paste, and resend just to insert the key. I use the abbreviations in the beginning of the report because otherwise the number columns do not line up and I don't like reading the "wavy" columns.
By the way, please come out and visit us at the hawkwatch. It's prime time right now. The Park is open from 7 am to sunset six days a week, closed on Wednesdays. You can find directions on the MOS website, www.mdbirds.org Choose Birding Sites, Maryland, Hawks.
