Little Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve
Saturday, April 15, 5-7pm

Jay Sheppard and I erected the Purple Martin house out in the marsh area. 
Thanks to MD DNR for granting permission! While there, we saw/heard:

Solitary Sandpiper (1)
Greater Yellowlegs (1)
Killdeer (1)
Green-winged Teal (4)
Mallard (2)
Canada Geese (6)
Bald Eagle (1)
Tree Swallows (several)
Red-winged Blackbirds (several)
American Crows (a few)

Jay returned early morning Tuesday, April 18, to retrieve a level we had 
left behind. No martins yet, but he reported:

Blue-winged Teal (pair)
Green-winged Teal (pair
American Coots (a few)
Tree Swallows (several)
Greater Yellowlegs (1)
Palm Warblers (several)
Yellow-rumped Warblers (several)
Blue-headed Vireo (1)
White-eyed Vireo (1)
Pileated Woodpecker (2 males)
