At lunch today, there were several warblers in the elm trees along
Constitution Ave in front of the Natural History Museum: (2) American
Redstarts and (1) Black-and-white Warbler, and a (heard-only)
Yellow-rumped Warbler.
This morning, on the way into work, a mockingbird in the Enid Haupt
Garden (behind the Castle) was doing a great imitation of a cell-phone
ring. I was hoping to catch it during lunch to see if any feds were
checking their phones in response, but the bird was elsewhere, I guess.
