After a stint at the blood clinic & a date at the VEIP for emissions testing, I
was ready to squeeze an early afternoon birdwalk at R.E. Lee Park (Lake
Roland), from 1310 to 1540, a tidy 2 1/2 hr. walk in brisk, 55 degree wind,
about 10-20 mph. Not as many spp. as the posted Tuesday walk of the
Balto. Bird Club, but a couple of nice sightings: two GREAT EGRET and a
male BLUE-WINGED TEAL. Also, a fishing OSPREY was welcome, and
a first appearance of a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON for the yr.
was nice. The following spp. were noted:

Great Blue Heron
GREAT EGRET
B-C NIGHT-HERON
Turkey Vulture
Canada Goose
WOOD DUCK
BLUE-WINGED TEAL
Mallard
OSPREY
Killdeer
Lesser Yellowlegs

A. Robin--lots
E. Starling
LA. WATERTHRUSH

The Little Blue Heron seen Tuesday was nowhere to be found.
