The Kennard Elementary School Birding Club in Centreville, MD, found a 
male and female Solitary Sandpiper at the huge drainage pond in the field 
beside Kennard.  Although huge, the "pond" was limited to 2 or 3 small wet 
areas with water only 2 or 3 inches deep.  The kids had great close-up 
views of the male preening and bathing.
