After a complete loop of the area, I spotted the ANHINGA perched high in
a tree at the easternmost pond next to the Monocacy River. As I walked on
the dike toward the river, it flew off, circled back and then headed toward
the garden center where, presumably, Mike Burchett spotted & got pics of
the bird. My apologies to Mike: I mis-spoke when I told him I saw a Com-
mon Moorhen nearby when, actually, it was a coot! Mea culpa. Seen or
