  I birded Ken-Gar Recreation Area, Kensington Maryland
  10-1pm. Birds observed and heard included:
   
  1 Savannah Sparrow (1st bird seen) by soccer field.
  2 Yellow warbler
  1 Yellow throat warbler
  1 Baltimore Oriole
  20+ Purple Grackes
  10 Red winged Blackbird
  2 Song Sparrows
  2 Wood Duck
  White throated Sparrows (several)
  1 Mallard
  Blue gray gnatcatchers (several)
  American Robins (many)
  Blue Jays (several)
  1 Belted Kingfisher
  1 Chipping Sparrow
  1 Carolina Wren
   
  Rock Creek/Beach Drive
   
  2 Wood Thrush
  1 Gray Cheeked Thrush
  Blue gray gnatcatchers
  Red bellied Woodpecker 1
  4 Parula Warblers
  1 Downy Woodpecker
  2 Swamp Sparrows
  3 American Crows
