Roosevelt Island, Wash. DC, 25 April 06, 1200-1300
A noontime walk on RI netted the 27 species listed below. The Pileated
Woodpecker, seemingly oblivious to my presence, presented a killer look as
it chipped away a rotting log a mere 20 feet away.
