Hi all --
Pretty darned cold at Rock Creek this morning, and not unexpectedly, also pretty slow. Many birds only sang very intermittantly, making it hard to locate in the ever-thickening foliage (which seems to out earlier every year!). Nevertheless, all the birders persevered and some nice migrants were seen:
Warblers: Black-and-White (3), Black-throated Green (5), Myrtle (~60), Palm (4), Ovenbird (3), Yellowthroat (1).
Other migrants: Blue-headed Vireo (5), Red-eyed Vireo (2), Scarlet Tanager (2), Swamp Sparrow (3), Junco (2), Great Crested Flycatcher (1), Yellow-billed Cuckoo (2, HO), House Wren (3), Brown Thrasher (2)
