Hello all.

After checking around Fort Smallwood for the Brown-headed Nuthatch (no luck 
re-finding him/her), I decided to survey Weinberg Park and a couple of 
other areas.  The Bank Swallows flew by at about 11am and were my first of 
the year. A welcome sight.

Highlights:

Weinberg Park:

Double-crested Cormorant: c. 30  On 'White Rocks'
Great Blue Heron: 1  By the pond
Great Egret: 1  Flyover- Rock Creek
Osprey: 2  Fishing Rock Creek
Great Black-backed Gull: 2  On 'White Rocks'
White-breasted Nuthatch: 2
Brown Creeper: 1
Tree Swallow: 5+
Northern Rough-winged Swallow: 1
BANK SWALLOW: 2
Barn Swallow: 4
WOOD THRUSH: 1
GRAY CATBIRD: 4
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 5
Eastern Phoebe: 1
EASTERN KINGBIRD: 2  Battling it out with a Grackle by the pond
Yellow-rumped Warbler: 6+
Pine Warbler: 3  
Yellow Warbler: 1  Heard off of the trail's entrance
OVENBIRD: 1  In the area across Fairview Beach Rd. from the main gate
Northern Parula: 2
Common Yellowthroat: 2
White-throated Sparrow: 6+ Still a few
Chipping Sparrow: 1
Eastern Towhee: 7
ORCHARD ORIOLE: 1 male
