OK - I give up. For the last couple of days I've been hearing a bird morning
and evening that I can't figure out. It seems to be singing, but it sounds
more like a call. Pattern is similar to a Towhee's towee but two distinct
notes, much louder and more crisp. A quick A note followed by an E might
describe it.
Also getting Black Throated Greens and/or Blues - I still a have trouble
keeping them sorted out, and a few White Throats singing. Found a pack of at
least a dozen of them scratching around this morning. Isn't it late for
them?
Thanks for any clues on the mystery bird - it's starting to get to me. Went
through the Stokes CD's with no luck.
