The last few days have been fairly quiet at Ft. Bayard--I thought today would be better, but then again, the jackhammering that started at 7:30 on River Road can't have helped.
Yesterday's best bird was a heard-only Chestnut-sided Warbler. Also had both Red-eyed and Blue-headed Vireos.
Today's best bird was a (silent) Veery. There were also at least two male Scarlet Tanagers seen and singing. A Black-throated Blue Warbler sang a couple of times.
Hope they start working later tomorrow!
