Roosevelt Island, Wash. DC, 10 May 06, 1200-1300

Somewhat slow noontime birding with 27 species noted including 5 warblers:
Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Black-throated Blue & Yellow-rumped.
Other birds of note: Great Egret, a Red-shouldered Hawk on a nest, and a
singing Rose-breasted Grosbeak (RI 1st).  Birds not noteworthy: Rock Pigeon,
European Starling & House Sparrow.  Two deer were lounging on the forest
floor.
