Leslie Starr sent me this report from Saturday's (May 6) Baltimore Bird Club trip to Patterson Park.

Three of us joined Middleton Evans for the Saturday morning walk at Patterson Park. The most unexpected bird was a Wilson's Snipe at the pond, flying in and out of the marsh vegetation several times. A Least Sandpiper and a Green Heron were on the island. A Red-breasted Nuthatch was on one of the big trees up the hill, where we also enjoyed long looks at a male Scarlet Tanager.
