Hi Clive,
The Chats are sure "in" at Blue Mash. I birded there very briefly this
afternoon and had at least 4 in various spots along the trails. Also a lone quiet
Ovenbird, lots of Yellows and C Yellowthroats and lots of Orchard Orioles.
For those who know of the Great Horned Owls nest out there, the baby has
"branched". It was perched on a limb a bit below the level of the nest and about
15 feet from it, and is just as cute as can be! The adult (presumably the
female) was sitting nearby until she heard me approach then flew intot the
woods.
