Hello,
Tori and I made a visit to the Sharptown Boat Ramp in an effort to get the Sharptown CW to 90 species. #87 was a Wild Turkey on Saturday during the Spring Count over on the Delaware fringe of the block. As we drove up, I spotted a single Forster's Tern flying downriver (88) and a few minutes later added 2 Pigeons under the Rt 313 bridge (89). It has been ridiculous how elusive both of these species have been. I wonder what Sharptown does to be almost Pigeon free. Also added upgrades for a agitated pair of Killdeer and a fledgling Dove while there. Now I have to fill in those holes for Black Vulture and Meadowlark.
Other species included a flyby Great Egret (a few days short of safe dates - darn!), 5 Spotted Sandpipers, at least 3 Osprey nests in view and the Cliff Swallows. At first, the Cliffies were not in evidence and most of the nest locations on the bridge had fallen off or were in disrepair. After about 45 minutes, 3 Cliffs appeared and all 3 went to one nest site that seemed to be in the middle of reconstruction.

Good Birding,
